Kaleidoscope – LGBTQ+ Support
Counselling
Being LGBTQ+ does not lead to mental health problems – dealing with other people’s adverse reactions does. Because of this, those who don’t identify as heterosexual are more likely to experience mental health problems.
All of our counsellors are members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) or equivalent professional organisation, and work within the appropriate ethical framework.
We offer counselling sessions from our main office at the Dudson Centre in Stoke on Trent, and from several other locations in Staffordshire.
If none of these locations are convenient for you, we also offer counselling sessions via telephone and video (Teams).
Self-Referral Form
Drop-ins
If you have a question regarding LGBTQ+ issues, just drop into our office.
A member of our team will be on hand to answer any questions you have or to offer advice.
You don’t have to drop in, you can also contact us for help on our email, phone or any social media channel.
Support Groups
We hold a number of LGBTQ+ Support Groups each week, from the Dudson Centre, and the Geek Retreat in Hanley. Please call us for more information on days and times.
Education and Training
We hold bespoke education and training sessions for schools, colleges, prisons, local authorities and businesses throughout Staffordshire. Please call us for more information.
Our Rainbow Charter Accreditation
Organisations can apply for our Rainbow Charter to demonstrate that they are LGBTQ+ friendly.
All organsations in Staffordshire (such as schools, businesses and charities) are welcome to apply.
Certification creates a competitive advantage for businesses, and it promotes greater inclusion.
Once your organisation is certified with us, you’ll be able to proudly use and dislay the Rainbow Charter logo and certificate in your organisation, on your website and social media.
Your organsation will also be listed in our online directory among the most inclusive organisations for the LGBTQ+ community.
